Things to do in Ubud

Ubud Monkey Forest

This is one of the macaque living forests. It can be accessed easily and is located in an area where it is community management. It is along the edge of the city centre. This is also known as Sacred Monkey Forest of Padanngtegal which is also another for Mandala Wisata Wenara Wana. There is a cultural and spiritual significance to the temples located in the forest.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces

The irrigational system, which is also known as Subak which has made rice terraces. You can find this location north of the city centre of Ubud and up in Tegallalang. It has become a scenic tour that many people come to take photographs of. The little and quaint village of Pakudui can be found nearby. There are many carvings that can be found there as well.


Goa Gajah Elephant Cave

This is one of the most famous tourist sites which is located south of Bedulu another little village. This area is famous for hsitoiral sites. You will find a cave that is from the eleventh century with its rock carvings and a meditation site. There is also a Hindu temple with a bathing pool and founds of 1954 can be found.

Puri Saren Royal Palace

Just a few minutes away from the Ubud Art Market which is the family palace of the royal family. The name of this palace is Puri Saren Agung. This is one of the famous landmarks of Ubud. There is a lot of historic background to this palace.


Campuhan Ridge Walk

You can do a little bit of trekking in Campuhan Ridge Walk that will help you get away from the busy city life and enjoy the breeze of some fresh air. You will come across other joggers and trekkers while you are on your walk.
